The LightHouse Church of Houston, (Pastor Keion Henderson) to host Harris County Sheriff’s Town Hall Meeting September 21, 2016

HUMBLE, Texas – The Lighthouse Church, under the leadership of Pastor Keion Henderson, announced today that it will host the Harris County Sheriff’s Town Hall Meeting on September 21 at 6:00 p.m. The event will bring together Sheriff Ron Hickman and other members of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Houston officials and dignitaries and residents of the local community.
The town hall meeting will offer an opportunity for concerned citizens to discuss community issues, share their perspectives and hear from local leaders. Those interested in joining the Harris County Sheriff’s Office will be able to learn more about recruitment opportunities. Children will have an opportunity to witness a helicopter landing and tour SWAT vehicles.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is the largest sheriff’s office in Texas and the third largest in the United States. The office is tasked with ensuring the safety of over 4.1 million residents who call Harris County home.
“The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is committed to engaging the local community and facilitating constructive and productive dialogue between Houston area residents and the office’s personnel,” said Pastor Henderson, who will give the invocation during the upcoming town hall meeting.“It is our hope that local residents will make opportunities likes these for discourse with local officials a priority, and that we can all come together to connect and collaborate on the issues that mean the most to us.”
